This has been something Yushi Space has never changed since its founding day one

Yushi Space is committed to becoming a first-class space infrastructure platform, promoting the construction of sustainable and reusable space systems, and helping humanity expand its living space.

We focus on a stainless steel rocket, the first commercial aerospace company in China to open a stainless steel rocket + liquid oxygen-methane power + "chopsticks" capture arm recovery pathway, dedicated to systematically reducing rocket manufacturing costs and turnaround cycles, and promoting sustainable, reusable space transportation services.

As one of the earliest teams in China to adopt stainless steel arrow bodies, we have completed a closed-loop stainless steel design process from materials, components, and whole cases to full arrows, mastering the full process capability from raw material production, process tooling, to testing and verification.

Founding team

Yushi Space was founded by Dr. Tang Wen from the School of Aerospace, Tsinghua University. The core team comes from the First Academy of Aerospace, commercial rocket companies, and robotics, possessing comprehensive technical capabilities and deep expertise in overall liquid rocket design, propulsion systems, and recovery technologies.

PhD, graduated in 2010 from Tsinghua University with a major in Mechanics

Former Division 1 of the First Academy of Aerospace, Deputy Chief Designer of the Booster Conveyor System, with full experience in the development of the CZ-5 and CZ-7 models. With 14 years of experience in liquid rocket propulsion and structure, currently the only top expert in both rocket propulsion and structure in China. He led his team to realize China's first stainless steel liquid oxygen-methane rocket prototype and static ignition, as well as the country's first nine-aircraft parallel force transmission structure, supporting and verifying rocket flight.

PhD, graduated in 2009 from Harbin Institute of Technology with a major in aircraft design.

Former head of multiple liquid carrier rocket models in the General Department of the First Academy of Aerospace, with 12 years of experience working in the General Office of the First Institute, responsible for the CZ-8 and CZ-2C liquid rockets. Stainless steel rocket overall design expert, former member of Yu Menglun team (China Aerospace First Team, cradle of the "Dream Team"), representing the national team in 2017 and 2019, was the first to complete major projects on recovery and landing control, and completed the earliest domestic flight test of recovery and landing control based on the grating rudder substage.

Co-founder and CSO

Bachelor's and master's degrees in the United States, with aerospace work experience in both China and the United States. During his time in the U.S., he completed robotic arm projects and new applications and real-time testing projects for stainless steel materials.

Expert in stainless steel rocket structure design, established China's first pilot line for stainless steel rocket structures, and is proficient in the "chopstick" capture arm structure and grasping action technology.

  • Completed tens of millions of yuan in angel round financing

  • The production testing center is fully operational, equipped with full-process development capabilities for second-stage launch vehicle products

  • The AS-1 rocket's second-stage full rocket pipeline has completed vibration evaluation tests and officially entered the final assembly phase
  • The Beijing R&D center has officially been delivered, capable of supporting a R&D team of 200 people

  • The reusable stainless steel liquid carrier rocket development base has officially started construction in Zhuzhou, marking Hunan's first rocket R&D and manufacturing project

  • The first flight stage second stage rocket completed final assembly testing and officially entered the propulsion system testing phase

  • The country's first full-scale prototype of the hundred-ton "chopstick" capture arm has completed ground assessment tests

  • Successfully held the first "AS-VISION" Annual Ecosystem Conference
  • The 70-meter reusable stainless steel liquid launch vehicle AS-1 was officially delivered

  • Completed 200 million RMB Pre-A+ round financing (jointly led by Hillhouse Ventures and Xingxiang Capital)

May

  • Mao Weiming, Governor of Hunan Province, inspected Yushi Space and fully affirmed the achievements in industrial chain layout
  • Completed a 500 million yuan Series A financing round (jointly led by Gaorong Venture Capital and Kunlun Capital), raising a total of 1 billion yuan

Jul

  • Shen Xiaoming, Secretary of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee, conducted research on Yushi Space to gain in-depth understanding of product R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain assurance
  • Yushi Space exclusively invested in the angel round of Jiqing Power Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., practicing the concept of aerospace cross-industry integration and industrial ecosystem

Sep

  • Yushi Space of Central South University jointly established the Space Technology Interdisciplinary Innovation Research Institute (ASTI), with Zhong Jue, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, professor at Central South University, and recipient of the July 1st Medal, serving as the institute's chief scientist
